What a mistake! My 16" a/s suck. I said no to snows but I was wrong. P6 seems way better than...

the Bridgestones. I thought the RE950s would get me through this Winter because they are brand new. No way did I think they would be this hard and slick. The are supposed to be all-seasons but I think they went a little too hard on the compound. 400 is the wear rating which means they are hard like the Michelins. I used 320 wear tires like Pirelli P6000 and Dunlop SP5000 before and they were a lot grippier in the snow. No problem, I will get Artic Alphins next year in 15". BTW all the A4s I saw at the dealer had the P6, even 16s. I put my 15" P6 set on Mother-in Laws Avant, but when I used them they were REALLY GOOD in the deep snow, I think it is the best choice of the stock tires for snowy areas.

The local Ford dealer put these on for me. Balance is fine, service was friendly and fast. $50, not bad, but they over-pressurized them a bit. Much better now, but still wish I had snows. I have ~500 miles on them, I think that is ok break-in. BTW-these are great tires in general no complaints, 85 in light snow.
