What is an offset? I know audi's are 35mm. What does it mean when they are higher or lower than 35mm

What is an offset? I know audi's are 35mm. What does it mean when they are higher or lower than 35mm

Default Actually, most of the stock A4 wheels are 45mm offset. The

Less negative offset= wider track.

so lets say: the smaller the offset the "wider" looking the wheel

Yes, but it's "negative offset", that's why less is more. Only need to worry w/ huge tire sizes.
