what should I use to remove the headlight and replace bulb? torx? what is a torx? where do I get one

'Torx' is the name of the star screw type (see pic) just like 'Phillips' is used for a screw with a cross pattern.
So you'll need a Torx bit or Torx screwdriver in the correct size. Dunno what size, check forum or just open the hood...there are 2 torx screws on top of the headlights you can use as a reference, can't miss em. Just try to find the correct size (T20 or T30 probably). Should be available at every hardware store.
