What to use to lube shifter ball/socket?

My shifter is occasionally getting hard to shift and wont pop back to neutral from 1/2 or 5/6 position. What should I use to lube the ball and socket?

Any grease except White Lithium. Slick 50 "One" Grease is universally compatible.Many choices at W*M
