Default What's the best measurment of a car's handling? Slalom...skidpad...lane change?

A car magazine recently tested the A4 Ultrasport and recorded some figures of 0.85g on the skidpad and 61.2 MPH in the lane change.

Upon researching a bit...they also tested a BMW 330i with Performance Package and it pulled 0.86g.

Is it just me or shouldn't the BMW do much better being RWD and 50/50 weight distribution.

Also...the A4 put down 170 ft from 70-0 MPH while another 330i (non performance package) did it in 168 ft.

I thought people always praised BMWs brakes and said the Audi's sucked. 2 feet?

Default My 02 A4 1.8 has 50/50 weight distribution

or at least that's what it said on the sticker... (I think?)

Skidpad doesn't really test much. I think that real life situation shows more than some skidpad test.

As for the 2 feet difference, that's a lot of room! I don't recall ever praising BMW's brake system. I rather have the Lexus' IS 300's brakes.

Default Just so you know, peak G's versus held G's are much different

lateral G's can increase if the car is snapped violently the other direction.
