Default my approach is ...

to have them send me a cashier's check or money order for the cost of just the wheels first. once it clears, i then send them the wheels and give them a copy of the shipping receipt (with the price). once they receive the wheels, they send me another check (usually just a personal one, since this is a smaller amount) for the cost of shipping.

Default i just raid the company mailroom ...

we ship and receive large computers all the time so there are always a few empty heavyweight boxes lying around that i can slice up for use. for padding, i usually use bubble-wrap (the kind with the really small bubbles).

Default Wheels are wheels. "Rims" are the just outer edge of that wheel.

Sorry, just a pet-peve of mine

Default "wheels" is an ambiguous term ...

for instance, while usages like "wheel and tire package" indicate that it refers only to the metal portion, it is common to also say "i put on a new set of wheels" and mean the whole sha-bang.

so, that's why i prefer "rims" and "tires". i never refer to the outer edge as the "rim" -- that's the outer lip. but that's just me :-)

If you wanna get picky, calling a wheel a "rim" is incorrect. ErikNYC is right.

Default I've done this a couple of times.....I used the boxed method. If you do this you have to buy the

boxes ($20). Shipping via UPS this way is around $20, thus a total of $40 (Big a$$ tires from 16" wheels from S-class).
