What's this? My rad fan has a mind of it's own! Came on after the car had been off for 20 minutes.

Default What's this? My rad fan has a mind of it's own! Came on after the car had been off for 20 minutes.

Was super loud. Would have killed the battery had I not been there. Stopped it by turning on/off the ignition. Input please!

Default Have the dealer check it out...

I've read before that such erratic fan behavior led to full battery drainage.

after 20 mins that seems a little odd, I would have thought the heat soak wouldnt take that long. Was this after hard driving, parked up over hot road surface?

Default Yes, it was after a hard drive.

But I did let the engine sit before turning it off.
