I went in to do wheel alignment today.

Dealer says the car hit a curb or pot hole and
the bearing is also out.

warranty will not cover it.

what can I do?

there is no signs of damage on the wheel in question.

thanks guys!!!

Default Pay the man. Or take it somewhere else.

There doesn't have to be damage to the wheel and of course warranty won't cover damage. It's not maintenance or a defect.

Default are you asking what you can do about the bearing?

You should get the bearing fixed...

Default Re: Wheel Alignment Out; Bearings Damaged

I guess what i should have also said was:

I didn't hit anything and there has not been a situation that i know of that may have caused this damage.

What i wanted to know is: Is there anything under warranty that i can say to make audi fix it under warranty? the car has a years worth of driving miles/kms on it (24000kms).

What other type of reasons can there be for a bearing to be out/worn/damaged?

They saw a curb mark on my front rim and said that was probably the incident that caused the alignment /bearing issue.

Unfortunately for them, their detective skills are lacking as the front rims where rotated to the back (and vice versa) a few months ago. The curb mark on the rim (when it was in the rear) in question was caused by my parallel parking.

If it's seriously out of alignment, you hit SOMETHING.
