Hi guys,
I just picked up a 2002 a4 1.8t tip and just finished the timing belt and water pump. During the change, a little trans fluid dripped out (about a half cup; from the radiator, I presume it was trans fluid ) and it was pretty dirty. I called two local audi dealers and asked about tip filter changes. They both stated that you NEVER have to change the filter or fluid..... Is that true? They stated it is synthetic and will last the life of the car. I searched a bit and really found nothing regarding this. Thanks
Jeff

What color was the fluid you saw drip out? I believe the trans fluid is pink.
