when reversing, it seems the tranny slips...what is wrong? TIPTRONIC

Default when reversing, it seems the tranny slips...what is wrong? TIPTRONIC
when im driving forward, and then switch to reverse, and gas it, i feel this huge clunk and it seems as if the tranny slips. it only happens right when i switch and gas it.

is there something wrong with my tranny? or is it normal?

Default mine would shake or be jumpy when in reverse with cold engine/tranny....
I got a TCM reflash which helped a little but it still happens.

Default It happens with mine. Try this...
After shifting into reverse wait for like a second or two and you should feel a very, very small clunk. Like very subtle. You may not even notice it. Then try gas and see what happens. It should reverse smoothly

i think i know what you mean.ill try that.so is this normal? or is something wrong with the tranny?

my reverse is also "delayed" i have to wait at least a second before i can give it gas

Default Are you still moving forward when you put it in reverse ?
I hope not, but I get a slight clunk when first shifting into reverse as well.

No its normal, just wait a second for it to select the correct gear and then gas

no im not moving forward, but i dont give it like 3 sec. for the gear to settle in...could this be the answer?
