I got some H11 3000K for my fog lights from this place. Man are they bright! You would need H7 size to fit in a stock A4 non Xenon headlight. 5000K and 6000 K are the brightest.

These are very bright, but don't have quite as nice a pattern as a Xenon bulb in a specially designed OE Xenon housing. That said, I am sure you'd be happy with them.

Did you purchase the Flicker Harness and Battery Relay Harness as well? I'm curious because I am enroute to upgrading to HID's also and would like more info for the best possible setup. I've heard that the "proper" way to upgrade to HID is to ditch the halogen lights all together and swap to Bi-xenon Headlights. HID's on halogen lights is too bright for the driver ahead?

I don't think you need anything else outside the $100 kit, (the salesman told me Audi didn't need the harness) I used the regular size ballast. I did fogs on my Audi, as it has factory xenon headlights. I did just install the 5000K ones on my Toyota MR2 . the only glitch was Toyota had their headlights grounded reverse than the kit was set up for, so I had to reverse the main input wire into the ballast. I recall reading someone installed these on their A4 and had the same problem. So if when you hook them up, the bulb won't light, reverse the main input wire. You have to bend back the one prong to do so to get past a stop, but it is designed to go in either way.

The quality of the light is fantastic. My only concern is if people are going to think I have my high beams on and be flashing at me, even though the cut off is low beam height and distance. It looks like daylight for 30 yards in front of my car. It is so much brighter than my after market "super bulbs" that it isn't even funny.
