Default Where's that link that someone put up showing how to repair scratched paint on sport wheels?

He had the 5 start 17s and had repaired maybe a 2 inch x 1 inch gash?

Is the picture of the rim painted (with duct tape and newspaper still on it) before the clear coat? And did you paint the entire rim?

Default that's the one, thanks... pulled up next to a curb today

that had a protrusion and that's what I hit. My scratch looks just like that one.

Default it's with the first coat of silver (I used 2) before the clearcoat.

I lightly sanded and primed/painted the whole wheel to give it a more uniform look.

sure. to do it "right" you'll want to wait a solid 8hrs and slightly sand in between coats, which I didn't do. you'll also need to find some suitable paint since the Wurth silver I used doesn't seem to be available any more

Default Way to fill in for the grammer police. I wasn't exactly awake when I posted that.

Did you get the paint code when you bought the paint or is there only one Wurth Silver?
I'm sure someone has got to still have that paint.

no paint code, it's just Wurth Silver. I've read here that Toyota silver is also a very good match
