We decided to take a road trip from Northern Cal down to LA last weekend to catch the Giants/Dodgers game. We got down there without any problems. The next day we drove to Dodger Stadium and got stuck in traffic. We made it to the gates at the top of the hill...almost...we noticed smoke spewing out of the hood - FOUL smelling white smoke. We pulled over and popped the hood, the smoke seemed to be coming from the center area. Everything else seemed fine, no check-engine light, temp seemed normal, clutch felt normal as I crossed over three lanes (funny how people get out of your way when your car is spewing out smoke ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
So, after a two-hour wait for a flat-bed, a trip to the Pasadena Audi (which doesn't seem to have a Night drop-off), a trip to the storage yard, a cab ride to LAX and a ride back to NorCal in a rental, does anyone know what might have gone wrong? Just took it in for the 10k in January and oil level was fine before we took off.
Waiting for a call from the service rep...Thanks!

If yes, it was likely coolant based. Broken hose or pipe in that case. Otherwise, I'm at a loss. Someone else posted something like what you mention in the last week or two.
