Who has on-star and are you using it for your phone? Inputs appreciated.

I have onstar but do not use phone because I purchased built in v60 phone. Onstar requires additional antenna but v60 does not (I think, you may want to check).

How do you like onstar - and what do you use it for?

Owned A4 for about five months and only used onstar once to set it up. It is not as convenient as the integrated phone because you have to use the onstar buttons on the overhead console to activate it and then provide the phone number to the onstar rep who dials it for you. I purchased it mainly as an emergency item and backup for being locked out of car and did not have high expectations. I was a little pissed off when I picked up my new car at the dealer and discovered the antenna on the roof necessary for onstar (which my sales rep never mentioned). All in all I think I would bypass onstar and stick with the integrated v60 phone if I had to do it over again.
