Default Whose done a S4 rear bumper conversion on an Avant?

Do I need anything other than the bumper itself? Currently have the stock rear on my 2002 with unpainted lower. It's unclear whether I can still use the silver trim piece that sits on top of the bumper. Also, STFA seems to tell me that the new bumper will have the reinforcement bar attached, and that the S4 bumper should just bolt right on with my existing hardware. Just wanting verification from anyone who has done this swap.

Default AFAIk the US bumper cover bolts right on while the CAN version needs different rebar

We tried to put the S4 bumper on the A4 rebar and it doesn't come close to fitting.

The trim piece is totally different as well but if you want to save some money you can cut off all the little tabs on the silver piece and double side tape it in place. I chose to just order a new trim piece instead.

The rebar can be shortened, every easy fix. Did that on my S4 rear bumper.

Default I was there when my bodyshop guy tried to put the S4 cover on and there is no way it would attach

and when it was seated on the A4 rebar it sat too low.

So I don't know what you did to yours to make it fit but I had to order the S4 rebar.

Default I did nothing out of the ordinary. The rebar's two shock posts that are attached to the car's
