Why does my climate control shut off...

IF my car is sitting at an idle with the air on, after a little while the climate control shuts off and the alarm light blinks on the dash. If i shut the car off and turn it back on it turns back on, but then repeats this after a little while...wtf?

You better have it checked. Might be that your compressor is dying.

what is turning off? All the LED's and LCD displays or just the fan/blower?

The whole unit shuts off, as if it was shut off....

this only happens when the car is sitting.
