In all seriousness. How much are you paying for it and what kind of gains are you getting over a standard chip? It just seems like a waste of money, but I don't know all the specifics behind it. Pitch the sale to me. I have driven APR Stage3 (with and without WILD programming) and T-28 cars before so I know what kind of punch they carry. Thanks.

how is the apr stage 3? i am waiting for that kit to come out for my b6. this is the deal with the k04. i had a 99 a4 with a k04 and larger injectors. to be honest for the amount of **** that goes wrong with the car due to a larger turbo upgrade and the parts that go along with it its not worth it love a chip and an exhaust upgrade. i would tell people to save up some more cash and do a stage 3 or a pes kit. i think you get a lot more power from them. with the k04 people love the pricing however they dont realize that u need other things to make the kit work right. hoses, bpv's, hi flo cats..people dont realize that its better to do something like an apr stage 3 cause u get everything u need in the kit. maybe u should add a fmic. regardless the k04 is a good amount more of power over chip and exhasut however it is not all that is cracked up 2 be. it has punch and yes you will pull on a chiped and exhausted a4 however save up the cash and get the better kits

I really like the APR Stage3 kit for the B5. We have installed a number of them in the past few months. The B6 kit sounds like it's going to be intoxicating. One of the local B5ers has a K04 and the original Borla exhaust (it sounds like a raped banshee). It's got a little extra pull to it than the usual chip+exhuast setup. Very little can compare to the kick in the *** you get when you hit 3k rpm in a GT25/GT28 A4 though.

price and output- I think that's why people love it so much. It's a moderate upgrade, not crazy power, but not crazy money, either. And it can be rather effective with a few goodies (manifold, exhaust, maybe an IC upgrade).

much better numbers than previous kits for roughly the same price is why people are starting to reconsider spending $5000 on a turbo upgrade. Personally - I wouldn't do a K04 if I was going to take the time to change the turbo. Remember though - the price of Stage III and the new Stage III+ will be considerably more - especially if it includes the FMIC. I'd say you're probably looking at closer to $6000k compared to $4500 for the Stage III WITHOUT the FMIC. Is it worth the cash? IMO yes. Can everyone afford that? Probably not. I'm just glad that it appears that there will be a number of options coming out for the B6.
