I personally think that Stage III will definitely deliver, but for $6500 w/ FMIC, it's just too much

Default Yeah, good point...

I'd rather see many available options than only one or two. Like I said earlier, I'm not even sure how much the K04 kits are going for. Either way, If I'm taking the time to pull my K03, I'm putting a big turbo in it's place.

Default Are you basing this on your "butt dyno?"

Or do you have actual proof?

Default It's a proven fact that they don't deliver what the claims are....

I couldn't even get my chip & injectors to deliver what they were claimed to. Since you have "installed a number of them in the past few months." why don't show the dyno plots on them.

Default because it's an excellent compromise

With the K04, you can get a decent power/torque increase over just a chip with only the turbo, injectors, and software. It's not overly aggressive and you don't have to worry about it really stressing the engine. For those of us for whom the A4 is our only car (or daily driver), that's a big concern. It's also priced reasonably (~$2k) and you can always add other things later to boost the performance even more (2nd SMIC or FMIC, hi-flow cat, etc) as finances allow.

I am going along with the K04 with the exact same thinking. Faster but not stressing the engine.....

Default Okay, I'll say it again: do YOU have actual proof?

You're the one stating that it's a proven fact that APR B6 Stage1+ and many APR B5 stage3 cars aren't making claimed horsepower, so show me the proof. I'm not trying to be an ***, I'm just trying to understand your stance on this (you sound pretty bitter about it). We don't have a dyno, so we haven't done any runs with APR stage three kits we've installed. The ACCCC is having a dyno day at GRD next month and I'm sure a few APR stage three A4s will show. I could post up some results then, if you'd like.

Default Then tell the owners to get their cars fixed.

My B5 stage 3 dynoed at 255 at the wheels on 104. That's 319hp at the crank, and that was before the FMIC and with a kinked turbo outlet hose and bad BPV.

Not to mention my 12 second drag strip runs...

Meh - I've got 40K on my stage 3 kit, daily driven, with TONS of track, autocross, and drag time.
