Default Will '04 models iron out most minor probs?
Given we're now two years into the B6 platform, one would hope that most problems experienced from the 02 and 03 MY's would be fixed.
No car is perfect, but it would be nice if the 04's were close to it. ;-)

Default VW ranked amoung the worst in reliability by JD power after...
3 years of ownership ( survey taking into account all products under parent company umbrella ) #1? toyota of course. however VW did beat out kia, daewoo, and rover. woohoo!

And three years ago we had the B5 platform. That survey is useless for the B6.

true. add the B6 platform and VW is probably dead last
