Default Will 16's be too small on a USP (for winter wheels)?

I wanted to go with 17's but the guy I was interested in purchasing them off of has already sold them (A3 S-line wheels)

I need to get a set pretty soon here, and 16's seem available in my area.

thoughts?

Default 16's with snows work quite well. I used them on my A6 and 540i. Will use this year on my A4

The narrower tire will not "plow" as much.

Default Re: The wheel tire combo will be the same height. The 16 inch wheel has a wider sidewall than the 18

Here's what it will look like with 16 inchers

If you choose a size that doesn't change the overall diameter, you won't get a change in ground clearance.

Use this to figure out what works for you...

http://www.powerdog.com/tiresize.cgi - Tire Size Calculator

Get 17" replicas from discount tire. 16s look too small on a B6.
