My wife's Trailblazer will be good to change this year and she is looking at the new 2002 A4. Please give me advice about (performance, visual differance, features, price, color...) and comparaison betewen the 3.0 and the 1.8T Tanks

Default Visually they are the same (aside from the window trim).

In my opinion the rest it really comes down to budget and creature comforts. Is a powerful engine important? Is she use to your 4.2 A6? The 1.8T is a great engine that is highly "tuneable" but for off the truck power the 3.0 might be better. If she can be happy with 170hp than the 1.8T might be the way to go. What about leather? Is it important? It is not an option on the 1.8T. Power seats? Again, not an option on the 1.8T.

Of course budget is a huge factor. We got a very nicely equipped 3.0 for just over $36,000. We could fit into our bugdet and it had some features (driver seat memory) that the 1.8T does not.

Default Get the Sport package...(more)

I have been driving mine for a month now without seeing another on the road and it has been great. Two days ago I saw another (same color, black) at the car wash and started looking at it. Something looked horribly wrong. At first I couldn't place it. I even thought it was an older model or something. Then I figured it out. It was a non-sport. The thing looked like an All-Road to me (exageration, I know, but DAMN it looked raised, like an off-road rally car or something).

I may be the only one who thinks it matters, but to me they just look wrong without the Sport Package. Everything else is just discretionary stuff/your preference. Unless she want some certain option, save the money, but the Sport is important, IMHO.

I hope I won't offend any non-sport owners, maybe I've just been drooling over my own car for so long that I just can't see it any other way.

Default Why does the leather and power seat are not avaliable on the 1.8T ?

Leather and power seats are important so she will probably pay the extra of the 3.0. I don't know why thoses options are not avaliable on the 1.8T it is wierd. Thanks for your advice : )

Default Those options have never been available on the 1.8T.

I guess it's another way to differentiate the 1.8T from the 3.0.
