The windshield wipers keep leaving very thin scratches on the glass. Dealer tells me that they are old scratches and that the new wipers he installed are nor longer scratching the glass, but I know they are leaving more marks every time I use them. The rubber parts are fine. I don't get it. Anyone with this kind of problem? I will have to eventually replace the windshield. I hate the marks, specially when the sun shines on the windshield.

search the archives for "soft glass"...i (and many others) have the same problem

It turned out to be the wind deflector thing on the driver's side arm being out of a slot and as a result scraping the glass everytime the wipers were activated. Dealership replaced glass under warranty and got the deflector back in its track.

I've always had Hondas/Acuras in the past and none of them scratched this easily! I've got more fine scratches in 9k miles than I did on my 50k mile Acura CL. Go figure...

The word is it's recycled German glass and super soft...email AoA and complain!
