Default Woo hoo! Finally got *correct* Blitzsafe adapter from autotoys. Now it works great with my XM!

Remember, if you order from autotoys.com you have to SPECIFY if you have a 2002 A4. The regular adapter works on '03 and up only!

They chrossshipped me the CORRECT adapter and it seems to work well.

Instead of an Ipod, i got a IP BUS TO RCA converter through autotoys that takes the IP BUS output of my Pioneer XM unit and turns it into RCA.

Then i ran RCA into Blitzsafe adapter, plugged adapter into head unit, remembered to GROUND it, and now it works great.

Low bass at higher volumes seems a little strained / muddy...but it's MUCH better than the CRAP CRAP CRAPPY fm modulator i was using before.

here's two pics:

This is the IP BUS to RCA converter:

And this is the Blitzsafe adapter:

Default uh oh. Just drove around. Sound quality *is* pretty bad. what gives??? help me out!

it sounds like the gain is too high or something. whenever a singer goes high or bass goes low it "crackles" and sounds kinda staticky. it's weird.

the problem with the fm modulator was that there was TONS of crappy static background noise.

now, with blitzsafe, the background is DEAD silent BUT....the sound quality is pretty crappy! what gives?

it is hard for me to listen to...

did you have this problem? bad ground perhaps?

is the reception degraded due to the location of the antennae inside the car?
