Default Thanks. I just checked with my Audi dealer and he said that the new 2004 has a 2.5 diameter.
Is that right?

Some one correct me, but it should be 2"dp to 2.25" after flex and back to 2" duals.

The audi parts person actually measured it.

Default it's not the same diameter all the way down and it's not 2.5". A Milltek is only 2.25"...
Mine is sitting at my buddies garage so ill get the different measurments. Sounds like that audi guy either just measured the tips or just decided to tell you a figure bc 2.5" is bigger than many aftermarket exhausts. The above article stated it was measured at 2" and 1.78" at the rears (not the tips).

Default I think 2.25" throughout
According to the vwvortex article it is 2.25" throughout. Stock is 2" and 1.78" into the mufflers.
