Default WTF! Metallic clunk sound while braking - esp. while turning corners - ideas?....

It sounds like it's coming from up front and it only happens during the first bite of the brakes. It doesn't happen every time when braking in a straight line. Though if I go to a parking lot and do slow "donuts" I can get it to happen every single time I touch the brakes. I'm going to pull the wheels and look for any loose hardware on the calipers. I also thought about inspecting the CV joints since it seems to be related to turning. Any other ideas?

Default I believe that problem your describing has been found to be the pads shaking in the calipers....

a little caliper grease in the right spots usually solved it. Try lightly braking while going over the bumps that cause your noise. I'll bet you the problem goes away.

Default check the center bolt as well.

if that's loose then your entire assembly is coming apart and your rotors are hitting something.
