Default Xenon Upgrade Question

It is me again, with yet another Xenon upgrade question. How much would it cost to order Xenons through the Audi Dealership and have them install them. Right now I have the normal stock 2005 A4 lights. We have Bi-Xenons in my wife's touareg, and I really want to get them in my A4 (bi-xenons/xenons, not really sure of the difference). The deal is, I am not very handy with vehicle upgrades, and I do not want to lose my warranty as far the lights are concerned. Anyway, if anyone can give me some ball park numbers or better alternatives please let me know.

Default That's just a rough guess. You can usually find complete kits for $700 or $800 online.

ecstuning.com sells a kit for $1400. if you installed them yourself, you'd save a lot. plus swapping out headlights shouldn't affect the warranty for the engine or drivetrain or whatever else that's completely unrelated.

Default Dealer generally won't even touch it

If you don't have xenon already, then you don't have the levels and everything in your car to be a true Audi xenon car. Dealer wouldn't even touch it.
Go aftermarket or ecodes. You just won't have auto-leveling.

Default even if the dealer does the upgrade...they won't warranty it...(more)

if you replace your headlights with oem approved lights then you won't void your warranty. When I switched my 02 halogens out with oem xenon, dealer didn't make a fuss. When I started getting condensation inside the assembly, they replaced them under warranty. Most dealers really don't care, if they are replaced with oem audi parts.

By law, the stealership has to prove that the headlights have cause the electronics to fail. It is very easy to replace the headlights.

Default did you buy your oem xenon from the dealership then install yourself?

If so, how much did it set you back. That would be my plan, to buy them from the dealership if they are reasonable.

Default I went from halogen to a full bi-xenon setup. The cost was about $800 for everything...

ecode S4 bi-xenon housings, OEM ballasts, OEM HID bulbs. You can get the dealer to install and align them.
