Default XM with CD changer using Symphony II

Hey all!
Hope someone can help. I have a 2004 A4 1.8t Quattro. Love it. Got the factory Symphony II head unit, non-bose, with factory XM. I want to add a glovebox-mounted DVD/NAV and feed the audio to the factory head unit. Dealer says they can't add a factory CD changer if I have XM, so I assume I can't add anything else, either. Is this true? The blitzsafe peeps seemed to agree that it can't be done yet, but if they can get hold of an XM/Sirius fitted car they'd figure it out.
Any help out there? I want to bid on a gps/dvd/nav system.... or maybe I'll wait and see if the new Audi spec DVD/Nav plus will be able to take factory XM.. but I'd rather get it now and all!

Default this seems to be a never ending question

with every Q, I am beginning to doubt even myself. I used to say the easiest way to find out would be to pull out your factory stereo and see if you have a CD changer input and if its free to use (for the blitzsafe). now i am not sure. my dealer service guy said it is possible to add a cd changer, now not sure.

Default Might be waiting a long time for that new DVD/NAV unit. Don't hold your breath

It's my understanding that the extra CD changer will NOT work is you have Sat radio. I read somewhere on these forums that Audi is working on a new cable to allow you to do that, but not yet.

I've still yet to play a CD with Sat radio.

Default Sounds like you know it all. Why are you posting about it, go buy it then

It's my understanding the unit you are referring to is just starting to appear at Auto shows in Europe. I didn't think it was a product that was avail to the public yet. Plus we don't know anything about it yet. Word was it was going to be MMI based. Will it even work in your car? You won't have the MMI controls and it probably also expects a CAN BUS.

These are just guesses that I have. You seem to be a lot more knowledgeable about this newly available European product.
