Default ROCK ON! Looks just like mine :) Now, talk to me about blitzsafe

I've been using the crappy *** fm modulator for months now, and it really does suck.

Was the blitzsafe adapter 88 bucks?? how much is the cd changer cable from audi?

How long is the blitzsafe adapter? as in, in the pic it's short...how do you run it all the way back to the hideaway control module in the trunk?

you have GOT to keep us (and ME specifically) updated on how the adapter works man, i'm seriously desiring it!

thanks

Default there *is* an adapter that will do that

but this blitzsafe adapter specifically cannot be used for that purpose...it's only for pioneer XM units (via IP bus)

Default This was asked once before

i *believe* someone talked to a guy at blitzsafe who said they were working on some kind of "switch" that would switch between cd changer and xm radio. otherwise, only way to do it is to manually plug and unplug them (as in, that's not an option cause it sucks)

Default some answers.....

1)Was the blitzsafe adapter 88 bucks??
Q: I just had my local shop get it for me so ended up paying like 95 bucks for it.

2)how much is the cd changer cable from audi?
Q: Tomorrow (monday) the guy up at the shop is ordering it for me from audi. I will let you know price/part number asap.

3)How long is the blitzsafe adapter? as in, in the pic it's short...how do you run it all the way back to the hideaway control module in the trunk?
Q: there was a little instruction sheet that came with the adapter. it says you are to hook it up to the data line in the trunk... well there isn't one. errrrrr. So... you have to order one from audi as I said before. That cable plugs into the bose head unit, run it back to the trunk and plug that mother into the blitzsafe adapter. The blitzsafe provides the headunit the XM radio signal without rf modulation and it provides the xm box power/accessory/ground. BLAH! So yea, I will definatly let you know what happens here, I'm curiuos to see how it sounds.

Default Well...

I think some places offer free installation but since I ordered the stuff off ebay and brought it to them they charged me 80 bucks to install it. Not bad... plus the installer is one of the best installers in america.

Default Should have been more specific...

I'm sorry, I meant for the xm, the antenna, adapter, etc.
