Default 6 letters A4NCAR...

Regading NS, cars should not run better on 91 then 93. Running MTM Darryl's car had issues, he got no help, if that's TUV approved, what good is it?

Default Audi Dealerships check torque specs to compare stock vs. chiped ECU.. more inside

"I became friends with a master Audi Technician at a local dealer who tells me that non of their training includes anything to look for a chip other than a guideline to use if they suspect if the car has a chip. This guide line includes a sheet that indicates what the torque spec for a particular model should be at a given RPM and asks the tech to drive the car with the VAS 5051 or 5052 connected and sitting on the passenger seat to monitor the out put and if it exceeds that it is chipped. Now if your car is in stock mode with the Revo the output will not exceed and thus undetectable to the service Technician FYI."<ul><li><a href="http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?s=414acad1502c85351084ce9ebc70c8bb& amp;threadid=18764&amp;highlight=master+audi">AZ Link</a></li></ul>

Default Good call...

Like you said, there aren't a lot of people using the TUV stuff...I feel bad about Darryls situation and what happened with his car. JHM is a very busy place and I don't think they really have enough staff to provide good customer service. Thats one of the reasons I'm not going with MTM software.

Default I agree that there are a lot of good US tuners making good power.

Matt Devo has NS s/w, Milltek exhuast and 317cc/min injectors. Dyno'd at 235chp, 280ctq. He gave Dahlback a call and they said with their software, IIRC, he could be getting 270chp, 320tq.

I'm not saying that there's no US tuners making good power, I'm saying I preffer the TUV/German tuner route

And I have admitted my lack of understanding about TUV and apologized for my false impression of TUV.

Anyways....About the Dahlback, I'm still not sure what to do. I don't think that it will be nice on my turbo to just get s/w, I think the proper way to tune our cars at this point (now that there are lots of aggressive programs and big numbers being made) is to go with Stage II.

Also, I don't even know if the Dahlback is going to work for my car. My car may or may not have the same reaction as it did to the REVO s/w. I really don't know what to do at this point.

I think I'm going to order the s/w, if it works, I guess I'll just have to be easy on my car until I can afford and exhaust or FMIC. If it doesn't work, its going right back and I will seriously have to consider selling my car.

Default Sounds good....

I can agree with that, nor do I think the US tuners put out more HP or reliability over the European tuners. MTM, Dahlback, OCT, they all rock. No worries on the TUV thing. : )

Matt will put out more HP with Dahlback software as he would with Revo. The Eurotuner A4 running a Revo K04 hit 270Hp on 91. His NS K04 is making less power than all the big injector K03'd cars. He even stated that High PSI's Stge 1+ was faster than his K04. I'd give Dahlback a try as well.

I'm looking forward to hearing about your Dahlback file on the TIP. Amir made really good power with his software. Good luck J.

Default I guess in addition to the specs, he was checking my boost.

I drove the tech around for 30 minutes, he was basically checking every block the VAG had to offer...

Default Something tells me that I should be getting

The Dahlback s/w and the Dahlback Tip software at the same time. I think its very possible that the Dahlback tip software may bypass that awkward tq convertor action that causes what I've been calling hesitation/surges.

I will keep everyone posted on what I decide to do. I'm glad you're keeping tabs on my situation

Default Not sure. I'm fairly sure that it wasn't VAG-COM

It didn't look like the VAG-COM setup. It was, what looked like, a touch screen computer (not a laptop) specifically for VAG/Diagnostics.
