Default You gotta love Pacific Audi

They just expanded their fleet of Audi branded loaners. Car in for service and they gave me an A6. I must say that I enjoy the smooth ride of the A6, but the handling makes me miss my A4.

They have a total of six. Three of them were wrecked in the first two months of use.

Default They have more now...at least that is what they said...

I know for sure there are more than three, there were four people including myself that got loaner cars when I was there and we all got Audis. The A6 I got is realtively new, only 3500 miles on the odometer.

Default did they have the "audi loaner" sticker crap on them?

I was planning to talk to Chris, manager at Pacific Audi, about it. Although it's a great way to advertise Pacific Audi, the drawback is people know it's a loaner and why do most people get loaners? To fix something or maintenance. So basically you are advertising "hey this dude is driving a loaner b/c his ride is f'ed up".

Mention regular maintenance to my parents and they are like "what is that".

just my .02

Default Yeah it has the sticker, but I view it differently...

When I see a car with the loaner sticker on it, I usually see it as a dealership that cares enough to offer you a nice car. Then again, I could be wrong. But if we are going to say that I am in a loaner because my ride is messed up and that reflects poorly on Audi, why is it I always see lexus loaner cars and people think they are the best cars on the road. Just a thought.

Default Sounds like a good deal. The ONE time in 10 visits or so I got a loaner, it was a '99...

A6 with 80K miles on it, about to be flipped to a wholesaler. Interior beat to hell, no state inspection sticker, got ticket for that & went and had it inspected for them next day (they reimbursed). It failed - bad brakes that I could feel already. Nice safe feeling.

Generally my dealer in VA gives fine Enterprise cars like Escorts, Neons, and small Mitsu sedans. My service rep hooked me up, but I was a little unclear on how hooked up I was driving a brake-less car around for a weekend!

Given the option, I would rather not have to have a loaner car, period. In a perfect world, I'd take my A4 for its sched. maintenance, wait for an hour (1.5 hrs tops), and never have other reason to take it in. HAHAHAHAHA (laughing maniacally)
