Default Are your tires inflated with Nitrogen?

.....if so, how do you like it? I had the air purged from my tires and then inflated with Nitrogen. Service center supposedly put 30psi in each tire. I checked pressures a week later and none of the tire pressures were at 30psi. Infact, they were all different, ranging from 32psi to 40psi. I readjusted pressures to 30psi a couple of days ago, will recheck pressures in a day or two. Service Center also put green valve cover caps on my stems, ugh.

http://www.nitrogeneration.com</a

Default I'd run 35psi if I were you.

Unless of course you like dealing with bent wheels.

Why would I do that? The door jam says 30psi for my 235/45/R17 93Y tires.....just curious.

Default Not to T/J, but are the inflation recommendations different for 235/40...

as compared to 225/40/18? My tires are rated to 40psi and I usually fill to 37-38psi.

I personally have never tried it. My old roommate had an E 320 that the dealer filled with nitrogen. I didn't notice a difference though.

37-38psi works well for 18s.

Default Do they? I was under the impression that the recommended pressure was 35psi.

In any event 30psi seems a bit too low for low profile tires. You might ending up bending a wheel if you hit a big pot hole. Try it at 35psi and if you don't like it you can always deflate the tires.

What would you run on my 235/40/ZR18's? The dealer took mine down to 30psi @ Inspection...

Default I'd run a minimum of 35psi just to keep the wheels safer...

I tried my setup on 32psi (dealer deflated it from my usual 35psi during the last visit) and I thought the ride was a bit floaty. I now run 37-38psi and I like it more than 35psi I was running before.

Default the tire shop i've been going to keep mine at 40 - and they've always told me never let it go below

32-35 or else you risk bending a rim if you hit a pothole.
