I am interested in chipping my 06 a4 2.0t with 80K on it. I've heard various things about how to go about it, but I wanted to see owners and not suppliers opinion.
If I get the car chipped, will it just be simple plug and play? Or is it wise to replace the pcv, diverter valve , etc. Has anyone experienced a blow up of sorts due to original parts be subjected to higher boost? Or any other problems that are directly attributable to the increase in boost?
Lastly, any idea when APR typically has their $599 sales?
Thanks!

I use a guy out here in NY that is to me the best. He has tuned 3 cars for me. When I first went to him I had installed new hardware (k04, FMIC, Injectors blah blah blah) and he got my CPU up and running when no one else could. He then helped me put on all the stuff I deleted to make it legal for inspection. When we were all done he said he could make my other 1.8t just as fast with out illegal deletes and expensive hardware.....so I let him prove it to me. We went for a drive and I was disappointed, so we went back to the shop and he made some changes......holy crap he amazed me. That **** took off like a bat out of hell lol. So if you are looking for a tuner, I suggest him. I am buying a 2.0t today and will have it tuned next week. I would look him up and tell him SMARKLE sent you. he has the capability to delete immobilizers and tune to your liking. I have seen him do 41 ECU's in a day from internet sales. He specializes in long distance. He has been in business for over 10 years and is no crack pot. (believe me there are crack pots out there that don't car what happens to your car)
His name is Jack 845-457-9808. Let me know how you make out!!!!!!!

Oh, forgot to say that some of us have a group buy going with Unitronic. They're at h20 this week, so we'll have to wait until after the show to get going with the buy. If flashing, I'd recommend going with a shop nearby and one you trust for support if you need it. APR, Uni, Revo and the others all do good stuff.
