Umlaut

Ok, it's driving me crazy. I've got <1200k on my Avant 3.2 At about 70km/h or so I can hear a "whistling" sound...reminds me of roofrack turbulance. I hear it clearly as though it was on the upper right (passenger) side of the car. It's not the sunroof. It's not the brakes. Ok, I don't think it's any of those. It's loud enough to be annoying, but does not sound mechanical. Crazy thing is that you can't hear it when sitting in the passenger seat!! I have not been to the dealer yet...I wanted to see if anyone else has noticed this. No noise above 100 km/h or so...either that or I can't hear it from the other sounds. Anyone have any ideas??

Ok. Then I think "something" is odd about my car. I tested it again this morning...you can definately hear it at 100km/h as well. I'm going to try to record the sound.

Did you try turning off the fans? I noticed the same thing with mine when I first got it. for some reason if the A/C is off and the fans are on they make a weird noise.
