I am just get my A4 for about a month, wanna to know what is the actual gas consumption do you have.
I drive very normal everyday (combine city and highway every week), but the gas consumption still can't match the tech. spec as stated on the website. Last tank I made is 11.7L/100km
my ride is A4 quattro manual

I used the following online calculator to convert US mpg to L/100km (too lazy to do it any other way)
Your quote of 11.7L/100km (~20mpg US spec) sounds about right for my combined city + highway driving (lots of city). That's roughly about the mpg for the Q7 V12 TDI on a highway

top gear, and all the other conditions in my previous post. Heavy emphasis on the grandma driving...meaning no aggressive weaving in and out of traffic and very conservative with the throttle.
With AC on (or windows down) and driving with a lead foot, and not to mention 100+ degree weather, my mpg drops somewhere between 27.5-30 mpg hand calculated. The engine does give you some flexibility for efficiency given your driving style!
Caveat - this all refers to pure highway driving

I'm just kind of surprised that the gas milage can fluctuage *that* much between fwy and city... it seems like city goes all the way down to 20 mpg, while freeway, even with lead-foot and AC still gets 27+ mpg... anyone know why?
