2005.5 A4 Premium Options
I'm looking at a 2005.5 Audi A4 with 6-speed, the premium package and nav. Does anyone know if bluetooth connectivity came standard with the premium package in '05, or was it an add-on? The current owner doesn't know and without me and my phone there to test the car prior to driving, I'm not sure how to find out.

navplus.us has a $700 kit to retrofit BT into the 2005.5 nav plus cars.
It used OEM parts and a manufactured wiring harness to hook everything up. You'll probably need access to a vag.com to recode a few things, but that's easy to do. Search that website for more details if you want it.
Alternatively, you can have a motorola or other non-OEM kit installed (that's what I've got). Sound quality isn't as good as OEM with my motorola though. And the OEM system can integrate better with the phone (reading phone data, etc.).

It wouldn't anyway...
Bluetooth wouldn't have been in the Premium package anyway, it would have been part of the Lighting package, which later became the Technology package in '06. But it wasn't in Lighting, because it wasn't out yet. Make sense now? :-)
