2005.5 Audi A4 Quattro Transmission Shift Problem
Hi All,
I have a 2005.5 Audi A4 quattro 3.2L V6 engine with tiptronic 6 speed that has a problem with the transmission. When it shifts up from 1 to 2 or down from 3 to 2, it jerks a little and I hear a clunk sound sometimes during these shifts. The problem seems to worsen when you've driven it for a while but can go unnoticed at initial start in the morning. The following codes popped up when I had it checked: P1073 Audi Low clutch timing control solenoid valve circuit malfunction; and P1861 Audi Transmission Transfer Case Contact Plate D short circuit to ground.
Does anyone know if the transmission needs to be replaced entirely or can this be fixed. Or has anyone dealt with any of these codes before with any Audi at all. Please any feedback will be helpful since I'm avoiding having to pay ~ 3000 dollars to change the transmission. Thank you for the feedback.
