Default 2007 a4 2.0T, Wish Me Luck!

Hello all,

I just bought a 2007 A4 2.0T 6 speed, w/ sport supension (rare for some reason in NE?) Phantom Black for $26K, Certified from Westwood Audi (Prime). Ok, I already know about the oil consumption issue, but I just love the look and feel of this car, so adding oil is no big deal (my 2002 TT needed oil every 1K). WW Audi (Prime) will top off my oil and wash my car when I need oil, how awesome is that!!!!!! The repair history (dealer gave me a printed copy) is only recall/maintance stuff, so it seems like a good car. I uploaded a pic of me reflected in the bumper, yes it's filthy, but I was getting ready for a skate and I saw it and just had to capture it with my phone. Any Speed Skaters in NE? I skate on a Bont Apache 3 point w/ 100mm wheels. And I'm 48!!! : ) Oh yea, P6's SUCK in the noise department, they're so loud!!!!

Good Luck with your new A4. I have a 2007 A4/B7 2.0T Quattro Tip. One thing I'd like to let you know, that I just found out a couple of months ago, is our cars may have a cam follower problem. I first came across the issue here on AW. I Still have to contact my dealer to see what they can do about it. If the cam gets screwed up because of it, repairs can reach almost $2,000 as one poor member found out.

So far though, the car has been just excellent. The only recall I had to go in for was for the coil packs. They were all replaced. Make sure yours have beel looked at if part of the recall.

All the best and skate/drive safely .

Thanks!

The cam piece you mentioned was replaced. The car is Certified, so I'm covered until 6/2013.

Congrats! I've had my 2008 certified A4 2.0T FWD 6manual since April and love it. Read the 'everything you need to know about A4' here:
http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...v2-A-MUST-READ

and here

http://www.audiforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=144534

One thing not mentioned, but upon searching seems to be common is for the center arm rest cover latch to break. Poor design of making pressure point out of platic. I had my loaded down with a big *** bag of chanage - when I threw the armrest back to release the parking break (another design gem by Audi, but hey, for such an awesome fun car, I'll give them that one) and the weight of crap inside the armrest just broke the latch.

So treat the arm rest latch gingerly. However, if it does break, they'll replace it under CPO warranty. At least they did mine.

Finally, careful reading all these forums. I'm pretty conservitive guy and vowed not to get caught up on all the modd'ing - at least not till the car is paid for. 4 months later i'm lusting after: coilevers (MUST LOWER CAR!), 18" wheels, blackout grill, 3-spoke sport steering wheel, xions with Fly's LED (search Fly300kts, and you'll understand), chip, exhaust... and the list goes on.

Enjoy!
