2008 Audi A4 2.0T Tire Suggestions
I put Goodyear Eagle GTs on my 2008 Audi A4 a year and 15,000 miles ago. They are already down to 4/32. No mileage warranty for a reason I guess. Any suggestions for when I replace? I am more concerned with finding something that will last as opposed to performance.

I've had good luck with the General Exclaim UHPs on my A4. Handle nice, quiet, good in the rain. They are really re-branded Conti tires for the US market. Check them out on Tire Rack here: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....el=Exclaim+UHP Also consider a "Plus Zero" size when replacing, they look much better. 245/40/18, speedo is nearly the same, maybe 1/2mph off +/-, but not noticeable IMHO. When my Passport 9500ix alerts it's the same as my speedo reads (gps).

I've been researching summer tires for my A4 Avant and so far I've found that Hankook V12 Evo are the best all around value. You get a high speed and load rating (97Y XL), good tread wear, and quiet after several thousand miles. If you have a subscription to consumer reports you'll also find that they are one of 6 summer tires that they recommend and by far the least expensive of the recommended bunch at about 140 dollars each (installed).
I also found this article that was decent. It does appear to leave out some other quality tires from their 'tests' but nonetheless you should find it helpful...
