40k for a 2.0L Engine.....

I don't have the time or the interest to go to a track or spend a day doing dyno runs. That's why I bought a 3.2, hehe. That's why most people buy 3.2's I would reckon, and why we have never seen any dyno charts for a 3.2.
All I am saying is that based on my direct comparison of the two cars, they were really about the same, and the acceleration numbers backed that up. There was really not a big enough difference that would make a person say "oh my god the one car is SO MUCH FASTER than the other". That said, there *IS* that type of difference between a stock 2.0t and a chipped 2.0t. The difference in power is very noticeable between a stock and a chipped 2.0t.
I would say that the chipped 2.0t seemed better than the 3.2 in straight line acceleration from a stop -- but only up to a point. The V6 obviously has more top end and will keep pulling for a ways longer -- but that is sort of a moot point since you have to be up close to 90 mph+ to reach a situation where that becomes a factor. I feel that the V6 also has the edge in available power in "regular" driving -- i.e. around town, there is power there when you want it without needing to worry as much about what your revs are at.
My point is that any performance comparison just really isn't as drastic as a lot of chipped car owners make it out to be. All the time words like "toast", "destroy", "own" etc. are thrown around, and in my direct experience, it just isn't the case. We are dealing with fractions of a second here -- things that are very difficult to notice.
I know, I am like the lone voice crying in the wilderness, as this and other internet forums are 95% 2.0t owners and probably 75% enthusiasts. But when it comes up I do like to point it out.
Now, my wife is travelling on business, so I am going to go and get hammered. :-)

My car had an MSRP of $36,360 and it's a FWD model without Bose/sat radio or navigation. I would have never paid over $36K for a 4-cylinder car, but the Audi 24-month lease was attractive and I went for it.

its not even funny. they take maybe 1 or 2 cars on me up to 120. I am very confident i can smoke a 3.2
