A4 3.2Q vs 330xi...Opinions?

A4 3.2Q vs 330xi...Opinions?
I currently own my second consecutive A4 ('02 3.0Q MT6), and am getting ready to buy a new car. I've also owned a couple BMW's in the past. Just priced out an '06 3.2Q MT6 and a comparably equipped 330xi. They are within $400 of each other (A4's used to run about $3,000 to $4,000 less than a comparably equipped BMW). My first A4 ('99 2.8Q MT5) was flawless. One of the best cars I've ever owned. The '02 is good, but has had it's share of problems. What do y'all think? OBJECTIVE opinions please! ;-)

me personally.....
i think the new 3-series is horribly ugly.... that and the fact that bmw's are so damn unreliable with they "added technology" ... i.e. my mom had a 745 and the "i-drive" computer kept spitting out a "red" car meaning stop driving immediately ... even though nothing was wrong... this couldn't be fixed so they replaced the car and sure enough the same problem happened on the new car....
i wouldn't trust a bmw with a fancy computer.... but nor would i want to with the way the new 3 series looks.... i think the best description for it is "blah" as is it doesn't look special at all and all bangle does is kill cars...
i have an 02 3.0Q also... im waiting for the next body style the B8 ... but if you can't wait i'd take a B7 Audi over the new 3 series anyday...
I know Audi's used to be like 3-4k cheaper.... but in the grand scheme of things on a 40k car that wouldn't be a deterrent one way or another... so i don't think price is a factor....
there is a stigma that comes with bmw's that they are awesome and incredible... when too me i find it laughable because i liked the quality and feel of my car more than the 745i and Li and E46 M3

Though I always put looks of a car lower than performance on the scale of things
The BMW is ugly - but the performace is good and handling has typically been slighly better than Audi - but the Audi interiors and AWD and stronger frame makes it the winner in my book.
I would test drive both -
But I use to drive BMWs and now would not look at BMWs anymore.

Current BMW is a ugly dog. Audi's interior is top notch and where you spend most of your time.
Audi would win out for me...
B8 should bea a good jump forward, especially in the handling department, and with any luck we'll see less of a front overhang. But it will be two years before we see it.
