Default You've never sat in your car with the engine running without a seatbelt on?

Sometimes I like to mess around with my car in the garage, but don't want to have a seatbelt on. Who the hell wants to listen to a non stop chime going off!?? Besides the Vag-com doesn't disable the chime anyways. It alters it to be just like B5's. It still dings like 4-5 times on start up.

Default EXACTLY... or a drive-through eating episode in the McD's lot :) ...

I try to NOT make a habbit of eating in my car though. Its amazing how long the smell of onions OR ketchup hangs around. Especially in winter when the windows tend to be closed more than open!

Hmmmm, so yours goes off as soon as you sit in the seat? UK cars go off after 10mph... :-S

Default It's the active Airbags !

There is a sensor in the passanger seat that is too sensitive. I found even my jacket would set the sensor off, and start the chime.

Pull fuse 11, kills airbags, ABS, and ESP.

Otherwise I understand a software change is coming from Audi, as my dealer knows all about the problem.

The sensor is used to "adjust" the airbag to the passengers weight. Idea being to throttle the explosives somehow.

Default Seatbelt chime = easy fix. Main prob is the 'parking lights on' constant chime

When you open the door with the parking lights or headlights on, and instead of just chiming every second, it's a constant buzzing chime that is extremely annoying. Sure it goes off after 60 seconds but when you get out of the car real quick to either open a gate/garage door, or to grab the mail, it's annoying.

Sure it's a feature to let you know if you leave your headlights on but there's a very easy way to give you a "headlights on" warning using a $2 piezo buzzer from Radio Shack and the fuse block. If somebody knows a VAG for this (as nobody has ever found one), please post it up.
