Default B5 reps are cast, B7 will be forged...

Big difference in weight and price...B7 reps will be ~20# and $600 per.

Are the originals cast or forged? These replicas are probably better than the originals.

well i bought some 17' rs4 replicas for my b7 i can't get them to balance them right the ride is not very good, anybody here has had the same problem??

Bill Spencer at Hartmann Wheels states that the cast version of this wheel is six months away while the forged wheel will be out in 5 weeks.

I didn't mean it like that! They look great, definitely better than stock. I am new to the whole car and aftermarket scene and it seemed counterintuitive to replace expensive wheels with less expensive ones and/or wheels from an older body style.

But as it was explained to me by someone else: 99.9% of people will not know the difference, it is 100% for looks, so go with what you like.

I ended up not grabbing the 19" ones -- I didn't want to have to potentially do suspension work to get them to look right, so I decided to wait for the right set of 18's to come around.
