Default anyone with a carbonio intake? troubleshooting..

My friends B7 A4 (APR software otherwise stock aside from the new intake) just recently had a carbonio intake installed. His car is making some strange high pitched, uneven, whistles... almost like there is a small gap where air is escaping/entering. Is that even a possible cause for such a noise with this setup? in neutral under revs it seems to sound normal. Thats about all the info i have. Thanks for any help.

the noise can happen under the slightest acceleration...so most likely not a boost leak
