Default Anyone running 16" Sport Edition F10's?

Tire shop is suggesting them for winter tire package, hoping they will fit...sort of. Part of me hopes they don't since my regular wheels have curb rash from the previous owner and I wouldn't turning them into winter wheels and getting something new for the summer.

Default Tried some Sport Edition wheels from Tire Rack last year...total disaster.

I think they were a Sport Edition "S6" model, not the F10's though. Tire Rack's standard A4 winter tire package with a Dunlop M3 winter tire. I could not get them to stay balanced after many attempts on a Hunter road force balancer. Turned out that they were vibrating loose. Tire rack insisted I did not need centering rings and could use OE bolts. Not true...the Sport Edition wheels are made for a V-shaped bolt and the Audi bolts are slightly rounded. Even with 90 foot/pounds of torque they were coming loose. Worse yet, the OE Audi lug wrench did not fit in the Sport Edition bolt holes so I had to carry around a 17mm socket wrench in case I got a flat tire. After a long battle with Tire Rack they agreed that the wheels were not compatible with the A4. I sent them back and ordered wheels from Gary at Ronal for my winter tires. Ronal also sent along centering rings and compatible bolts. I have been a Tire Rack customer for years and this was the first problem I ever had with them. I would stay away from their Sport Edition line of wheels. In fact, I just bought Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow winter tires on AT Italia wheels from Tire Rack for our Q7 and all went well.

http://www.ronalusa.com/</a

Default Tire Rack didn't give you new bolts for the wheels?

I got the Sport Edition F7 wheels with Dunlop M3's. Haven't put them on yet, but they came with new bolts and centering rings, and the website let me buy them for the Audi.

No, but it is nice to see that Tire Rack learned from my experience.

Default Sport Edition F7's == good!

I've got 16" F7's as winters. They've been fine. No loosening. No balance issues.

My vendor supplied a second set of bolts.
