Someone else posting about bluetooth reminded me about my own questions about bluetooth.
Frequently, I get a very loud buzzing noise when I first dial a phone number from my BB (before the call actually connects). I also get the same loud buzzing noise when some phone calls come in while in the car, but not as frequently.
I have done several searches on this forum and on the Internet, but, so far, I have not found a solution.
Anyone else have this problem?
Anyone know a solution to fix it?

I suffer through the same symptoms with my 8330 (verizon). I wouldn't call it a problem per se, but good lord it's loud and sounds like it could damage my speakers if it was a touch louder.

I have the same problem with my BB 8830 World Edition. it does it every once in a while.
It is annoying and really loud. Grating is a better word. Probably one in 20 calls.
It never did it with my Treo. That was the only thing I liked about the Treo.
If anyone comes up with a fix I am all ears.

Genoendicott's post jogged my memory.
I have heard something about the GSM phones being the possible cause for the loud static/buzzing noise.
I remember talking about this phenomenon with a former Honda Design Engineer that worked with SatNav and Bluetooth devices in the Acuras. He mentioned something about GSM phones positioning in the vehicle (e.g. too close to the MMI) might be the cause of the loud buzzing/interference/static through the stereo speakers.
Doing a quick google search on "GSM interference BlackBerry Pearl Bluetooth" brought back some possible answers that support what Geno was saying (see link).
What is notable as a possible solution is that 3G phones (instead of Edge network phones) do not seem to exhibit this behavior for some that previously had the problem with BlackBerry phones (Edge network phones).

http://forums.crackberry.com/showthread.php?t=130831</a
