well, something is not right then. my car is an 06 A4Q and i dont have NAV OR TPMS. I installed an "E" and mine has worked fine since day 1, January 1st.

To help with some questions and confusion, I am posting an application chart from Audi N.A. for these tuners. The chart lists which cars need additional hardware and which parts work in which cars.

Note the chart tells at the very bottom that the "E" and "D" tuners are for cars equipped with Nav or TPMS. If no letter or "A", it is a tuner for cars without Nav or TPMS.

Package came on time. Instructions too. I have a 2006 with no NAV and no TPMS... I have sunroof tech and premium packages. Extremely simple installation...pop the cover/tray out in the trunk. pull out the wires....plug 'em in...4 screw to hold the radio in place on the tray...back in it goes. Last step is to switch the radio plug one slot to the left on the CAN-BUS. Intructions for this were included. again extremently simple. Only tools I needed were a flat head screwdriver.

The intructions are for the earlier models and indicate taking apart the trunk to find the wires which used to be hidden underneath. Be aware at least in the 2006 they wires are already right in the back of the slot/tray. very simple.

the dash display when on XM shows the XM radio station and XM channel # on my dash display. To see the artist and track name it only appears displayed on the head unit display. Is this the same for you?

i have premium sunroof and tech package. 2006 B7.
