Hi Everyone,
I'd like to get a little more clarity in the audio system. What are my options? I really don't want to change out the head unit - I don't want to loose steering wheel controls for iPod/Bluetooth. So, I'll just go with amp / speakers. I've read a number of threads here that suggest that the front speakers only need to be upgraded. However, I'm unsure if an amp upgrade is also necessary.
Basically, I'm looking for best bang for the buck for my audio system. I'm not looking to tear up the inside or form a sub enclosure - I don't have the time or patience for that .
Any help appreciated!

Based your wants, I'd say your options are zero. You obviously want to do a lot with a little. My suggestions is to put a decent sub in the trunk and call it a day. Changing the speakers requires door panel removal and a bit of modification for component replacement (which you should be using for better sound). That EQ **** on the Symphony is terrible and makes most music sound like ****. I changed my head unit and haven't looked back.
My solution for the speaker problem was my HU. My Avic took some effort on my part, but in the end, I have everything I could want and the factory speakers really show what they're made of. They're better than the stock HU gives them credit for. In the end, I lost my steering wheel controls (which I can get back with a couple of PAC adapters or a single one from Pioneer Europe), but I don't miss them.
If you are considering replacement of the speakers, I seriously would do all of them and disable the stock sub (cause it's useless anyway). Two sets of decent component speakers will run you under $500.
