are B7 2.0t's prone to burning oil?

No oil lost yet at 5k...
Maybe it's all superstition, but this is my method. Similar to Gorobei's, but I slowly worked my way up to redline in 1000k RPM / 100 mile increments rather than going all the way up after the 500 mile mark. So, 600 miles @ 4000 RPM, 700 miles @ 5000 RPM, etc. In each section of 100 miles, I'd feather the throttle to get the engine speed up to the new range, leave it for a few seconds, and coast back down under engine brake, cruise for a few miles, then repeat with more and more throttle until WOT. So far so good, no oil loss, and my engine feels very smooth.

Here goes again.. Similar posting on Audizine .. Short answer - none in my 2.0T with 22K mi
I've own my 2005.5 2.0T since it had 24 miles at delievery. I drove fisrt few thousand miles with some caution - not running rpm above 4K and tried to shift at around 2.5K throughout the all gears. After 2-3K miles I've just driven as I feel like since then with APR upgrade - rpm occasionally hitting over 5K and down to almost lagging the engine when I was distracted other tasks than driving.
As of now 22K miles with a lot of city driving, I've not noticed any oil loss between 5K oil changes. The oil gets dark very fast but the level never dropped to any noticeable amount. It may burn a few drops here and there but again no noticeable oil losses so far.

Mine fnin did right out of the gate, at 2500k I needed about a quart.
The car was not driven at a steady speed for long periods of time, I varied the RPMs as often as I could. Still burning oil, I think the people who are not burning oil have somethign wrong with their motors... lo j/k
From what I have heard it is very common for 2.0T to burn oil.

Re: No, not all. I broke mine in properly and haven't had to add a single drop, ever.
I went through 1/3 of a quart during the first 5,000 miles at which time the oil was changed. I now have 7,000 miles on it and haven't noticed any more oil consumed. So far, so good!
