I have been searching the interwebs for answers regarding floor jack and jack stand placement on a B7 Audi A4. No real luck.
I recently bought two Torin 3-ton jack stands and an Arcan 3.5 ton floor jack (i have two SUV's so it will come in handy..also peace of mind while I am under the car).
Unfortunately, I cannot figure out where to put my floor jack so that my jack stands can rest on the pinch welds.
If i do try to use the floor jack on the pinch welds, I cannot get enough space to put the jack stands in place (floor jack is in the way..even when i slide the floor jack in at an angle).
The manual says there is a floor jack point, but when I touched the area it seemed flimsy. However, I may have looked at the wrong thing.
Any suggestions? If pictures can be provided, I would appreciate it (I'm new to the mechanical side of cars..I'm doing an oil change for the first time).
Thanks for the help!

Hi there, i have the same model of car and recently encountered the same problem. I had to trade my jack in for one with a smaller jacking area to allow the stands to be placed within the prescribed area. If you are not in a position to change your jack then perhaps try placing something smaller on the jack plate like a solid block of wood. definitely, do not go outside the inserts in the chassis or you will bend the lipped area of the chassis. hope this helps, good luck, let me know how you go or how you went/what your solution was.
