Default Baby seat marks

Anyone use a pad or blanket to cover/protect the seat to prevent the car seat indention marks that happen over time with our leatherette rear seats? Suggestions?

Default Re: Baby seat marks

my baby's due in may. have been researching and look like a couple manufacturers (e.g. peg perego)make 'base' pads that are supposed to limit that.

Default I do

i use a "liner" of sorts under the seat base.

I think it's this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Eddie-Bauer-Seat-Protector-Tote/dp/B000COOJKG/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1205790768&sr=8-16

It has rubberized texture on it to prevent slipping, which is a serious concern if you have real leather in the car. It hangs over the front of the bench had has webbed storage packets etc for stuffing baby paraphanelia in. It has the side benefit of "rounding off" any indentations the car seat base would make.

My son is out of his infant seat and is riding in the Recaro Como right now. It's a great seat and we bought two of them. I'm 5'8 and the Como fits rear-facing behind my drivers seat with no contact -- but it's a very tight fit. Normally we use the seat in the center position with the 3pt belts, and the como fits there as well. You'll need a towel rowl under the back of hte base to get the proper seat angle as the B7 rear bench has a steep angle.

You can still get at the side-seat belt anchors with the Como installed in the center, but having the pad installed makes it very tricky and its not comfy for long trips.

I talked to Audi NA a bit about getting LATCH anchors for the center position but there's nothing available to convert/retrofit.

LATCH is absolutely infinitely better than futzing with 3pt belt arrangements, but the center-rear position is the optimal location for a car seat. We choose middle position and I am extra vigilant on getting the seat strapped in.

Do NOT use the in-board set of anchors for the two side seats as a middle anchor.<ul><li><a href="http://www.amazon.com/Eddie-Bauer-Seat-Protector-Tote/dp/B000COOJKG/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&amp;s=baby-products&amp;qid=1205790768&amp;sr=8-16">http://www.amazon.com/Eddie-Bauer-Seat-Protector-Tote/dp/B000COOJKG/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&amp;s
